Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2025 Company: Calibrtr Ltd (company number 15572093), registered in England and Wales. Controller: Calibrtr Ltd ("Calibrtr", "we", "us").
We keep this policy short and plain‑English. It explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
1) What we collect (very limited)
We only store the following personal data:
- Name
- Email address
- Projects you upload (including titles, files and descriptions you choose to provide)
- Your “vibes” (e.g., votes/reactions you make inside the product)
We do not knowingly collect special category data.
2) Why we use it (lawful bases)
- Provide and run the service – create/manage your account, host your projects, show vibes, keep things working. Legal basis: Contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Improve and secure the service – troubleshoot, prevent abuse, understand feature usage at a high level. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics (Google Analytics) – understand aggregate usage to make better product decisions. Legal basis: Consent for analytics cookies (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent any time via the cookie settings.
- Service communications – important notices about your account or the service. Legal basis: Legitimate interests/Contract.
- Marketing emails (opt‑in) – occasional updates if you choose to receive them. Legal basis: Consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
3) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics for internal product analytics. When enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data (e.g., pages visited, device info, truncated IP) to provide us with aggregate reports. We manage consent via the Termly cookie banner to respect your choices. We do not use GA for targeted advertising.
4) Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary to run the service and, if you consent, analytics cookies (Google Analytics). We display a Termly cookie banner that lets you accept or reject analytics at any time; your choices are remembered and can be changed via the banner/settings.
5) Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers acting under contract as our processors (e.g., hosting, storage, analytics, email delivery). They may only process data on our instructions and must protect it.
- Legal or safety reasons if required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
6) International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / EU Standard Contractual Clauses (as applicable) and additional protections where needed.
7) Data retention
- Account data (name, email): kept while you have an account.
- Projects and vibes: kept while they remain in your account and until you delete them (or we delete them per our terms).
- Backups/logs: kept for up to 90 days for security and recovery, then deleted or anonymised. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed for the purposes above, subject to legal requirements.
8) Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
9) Your rights
You have rights under UK GDPR, including to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. These rights are subject to limits in the law.
To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
10) Children
Our service is intended for adults (18+) and is not for under‑18s. If you are under 18, you must not use the service or provide personal data to us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from someone under 18, we will delete it.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date.
